Trooping the Colour

This Saturday, the 260-year-old tradition will mark the British Sovereign's "official" birthday. The Trooping of the Colour, a ceremonial event that would usually involve 1400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians, will be scaled back, as it was in 2020, due to coronavirus restrictions. This will be the first birthday parade Queen Elizabeth II, 95, will attend since the death of her husband Prince Philip.
