☠️🌎 ⚠️ Earth In Crisis: News & Views— Climate Change • War • Refugees • Natural Disasters • Food Security • Pandemics Extinctions
We are currently facing the worst humanitarian crisis since WWII. Our earth is in critical shape. We are facing crises created by issues stemming from climate change, wars, improper care of the earth itself through deforestation, etc. Many events which seem independent of one another are not. Though not all, many world crises can be connected. From the effects of war upon food security, improper business practices upon extinctions, and climate change resulting from some of the aforementioned as well. We are seeing the beginning of serious water wars. Climate change refugees place unexpected pressures upon places to where they run. The earth cannot sustain us as we live today. When it comes to food security alone, we must ensure people are not just able to eat enough to feel full, not just enough to barely survive, but rather we need access to healthy food, with nutritional value. Without that nobody and nothing can thrive. Sadly, as I start this new magazine I do so due to the many humanitarian crises worldwide demanding urgent attention. There is a truly dire, urgent need. There are some articles included regarding ways you can help as well. There are serious famines again in parts of Africa. That's where the cameras are pointed at the moment. There are severe food shortages worldwide. People around the world are facing the harsh realities which come along when one's basic human needs aren't being met. I truly hope this magazine will become useless when there is nothing to cover. I don't foresee that, however I do have hope that things may be turned around. It can only happen with intensive efforts on all our parts. That also means ensuring that the information is shared with as many people as possible. There are so many things which distract many of us every day that it's very easy to remember that the majority of the worlds population does not live as those in first world countries do. Living in a first world is in no way any assurance that a person will not face such a crisis themselves. Such an example would be Hurricane Katrina, as well as failing dams, forest fires and even the aftermath off large scale terrorism. I am writing this for today, with hope for our future. Covering the issues, the crises, as well as the responses. Articles will be quite comprehensive. Personal stories of survivors, explanations of events occurring as well as those on the horizon, and of significant, imminent concern. YOU can do something to make a difference. Every time you think, or someone says: "Someone ought to DO something!"— PLEASE REMEMBER YOU ARE A 'SOMEONE'! There are articles in here with information regarding the endless ways in which you are able to help. From helping to map regions of the world which are not detailed enough in order to assist aid workers, to financial donations as well as organizations seeking volunteers in a wide array of areas, including to go to the areas hit as an aid worker. Please share these important stories and please let me know what really interests you by commenting or liking it. That way I can ensure I am ideally able to provide the information you are seeking!!
