    Today marks 76 years since the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp. In stark contrast to the 75th anniversary, where crowds gathered in pre-pandemic ceremonies, observances of International Holocaust Remembrance Day occurred online this year, as well as through vaccine drives organized for hundreds of survivors. The commemorations come just three weeks after the Capitol attack, where rioters were seen brandishing Nazi and anti-Semitic symbols.
