DAYANG-DAYANG or KIRIRING PAKIRIRING is a traditional song in the Philippines. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eu6VPV_waDU The title of the song is believed to be referring to Hadji Dayang Dayang Piandao, the first lady of Sulu, since the word dalay-dalay was a title given only to the daughters of the Sultan. Until now, the lyrics were not familiar to many and only few understood its true meaning. It was believed that the lyrics of the song are in Sinama or Sama language, the language of the Sama people of the Sulu Archipelago in the southern Philippines.
