Can American Democracy Be Saved?

Jan. 6, 2021, was one of the most shocking days in U.S. history. For the first time since the War of 1812, the Capitol was stormed. But many historians and political scientists say we shouldn't be surprised by what happened. Over 74 million Americans voted for a man who has consistently lied about his election loss. Many of these voters will not accept Joe Biden as the legitimate president. So where do we go from here? Is there any hope for our republic?
