Upon arrival, responders discovered a deceased male in the driver's seat of a black truck. Firefighters provided medical aid to a female passenger in the same truck, who sustained significant injuries. The female patient was stabilized and transported to a nearby landing pad. She was then transferred to Mercy Air 15 Helicopter for airlift to a hospital in Bakersfield. Additionally, one patient in a white pickup truck was transported via Hall Ambulance to a nearby hospital with minor to moderate injuries. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors at this time.
