Dr. Melchiore Buscemi

As a physician, Melchiore Buscemi MD was committed to providing high-quality medical care to all patients regardless of their ability to pay. He opened his practice to both Medicaid and self-pay patients alike. His generous spirit also extended to the Physician Assistant Program at Clarkson University where he donated his salary as a clinical instructor back to the program to support the next generation of healthcare professionals. In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Melchiore Buscemi contributed regularly to medical publications with multiple lead authorship articles on genetics and virology published in the UROLOGY journal. In recognition of his work, several writing awards were bestowed upon him during his time serving as a clinical instructor at Clarkson University's Physician Assistant Program in the 1980s.
