Paranormal

“When someone I knew who was religious passes away, I wouldn’t dream of raining on the funeral procession with comments about there being no heaven. Why then when an outspoken atheist such as my good friend Steve succumbs to cancer, do they still insist on disrespecting his beliefs by stating that he’s in a better place now, with the angels?”—4th Admin.

"When the churches literally ruled society, the human drama encompassed: (a) slavery; (b) the cruel subjection of women; (c) the most savage forms of legal punishment; (d) the absurd belief that kings ruled by divine right; (e) the daily imposition of physical abuse; (f) cold heartlessness for the sufferings of the poor; as well as (g) assorted pogroms ('ethnic wars) between rival religions, capital punishment for literally hundreds of offenses, and countless other daily imposed moral outrages. . . . It was the free-thinking, challenging work by people of conscience, who almost invariably had to defy the religious and political status quo of their times, that brought us out of such darkness."--Steve Allen

Turns out your cat’s utter contempt is justified

It’s hard to stay mad at your pets, even when they’re pooping on your sheets or chewing on your Mr. T action figure collection (to clean the delicious poop out of their teeth, of course). After all, your pets are just creatures of instinct. You may reprimand them, but you’d never just outright hurt them, as – we’re giving you the benefit of the doubt here – you’re not a total SOB. But you may be unwittingly engaging in behaviors that are making your pet’s life a living hell.

Irritating punctuation enthusiast Yahoo! recently agreed to pay $1.1 billion for popular blogging site/My Little Pony porn host Tumblr. This was big news for a couple of reasons. First of all, Yahoo! is not only apparently still a thing, but also somehow has a billion dollars to throw around. Secondly, a lot of experts have been questioning whether the deal makes good financial sense. Which of course is ridiculous – Tumblr has approximately 108 million blogs … that’s only about $10 a blog. And …
