Bay of Fires, Tasmania I took this photo on my first relatively long distance photography trip! We drove up at night, leaving Hobart around 6pm and arriving at 11pmish. The plan was to set up camp, shoot the night sky a little, and then sleep till just before sunrise. Unfortunately I was a bit unnerved by the wind and darkness, and didn’t actually get a wink of sleep. Nevertheless I was up and active for sunrise, and managed to get a few shots. I’m really quite keen to head back to Bay of Fires sometime in the future, as I’ve learned a lot about landscape photography in the last couple of months, and also acquired some new gear that should aid in getting some better shots.
