David Rubin cdr was born in Mexico City and later moved to Los Angeles, California, where the remarkable histories of his parents deeply influenced him. His father, instrumental in liberating the Bergen-Belsen DP camps post-WWII, and his mother, a survivor of a Polish concentration camp, imbued him with a profound sense of resilience and moral duty from an early age. These core values, instilled during his formative years in NY and Los Angeles, have steered his life’s work and mission. Educated at California State University, Northridge, starting in 1980, David pursued finance, a field that would form the backbone of his professional career. Achieving his certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), he laid a robust foundation for his future roles in structured finance, retirement planning, and investment strategies. His academic and professional training equipped him to address complex financial challenges, particularly in affordable housing and philanthropy.
