You’d be forgiven if you’ve never heard of Milly Bennett, but now is the time to correct that oversight, because she was one of the first female war correspondents, and author Carrie Callaghan has highlighted her very interesting life with her new novel “Salt the Snow”. You can find out more from my #bookreview of this recently released book on my blog now.
https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2020/02/07/on-her-own/In 1911 Coney Island was home to a set of amusement parks that had something for everyone, from swimming on its beaches to roller coaster rides. This historical fiction novel looks at this spot during its heyday, and witnesses its destruction. Read my #bookreview of "Dreamland" by Nancy Bilyeau here.

This is my last #bookreview for 2019, for another historical fiction novel set in the late and post-WWII era about women sent from England into Nazi occupied France in order to help get information back to London.
I don't usually read fantasy/ghost stories, but I couldn't resist grabbing a copy of this short historical fiction work by Nancy Bilyeau. You can find my #bookreview of this novella on my blog here.
