Remembering King Von: The Rapper and Storyteller
Chicago-born rapper King Von was as skilled a storyteller as he was a hitmaker. After the release of his 2018 track “Crazy Story,” Von would soon become one of the loudest voices in the Chicago drill scene. He went on to release three projects, starting with 2019’s Grandson, Vol. 1, which was followed by 2020’s Levon James and Welcome to O’Block. But Von’s life would end tragically in November, when he was fatally shot outside of an Atlanta nightclub.
