"Weaving the World" is a kinetic mural for The Greenville Spartanburg Airport baggage claim that will be completed in late 2018. The three themes in the sculpture are water, the textile capital of the world and automotive innovation. The sculpture will be made of anodized as well as printed aluminum and dichroic acrylic.

This project needed to create a welcoming and eye-catching mural that would relate to the region's history and future. I was given the three themes of water, textile capital of the world and automotive innovation. I chose to include all three. Motion, both actual and implied, keeps the eye moving from one end of the sculpture to the other. The distinct parts of the mural will also serve as location identifiers.
