Pautahanui Boat sheds - reflective waters at low tide, this is at the mouth of the inlet / estuary and the water moves quickly through here on the ebb and flow times.

Mangawhero Falls - at the end of the track. The foothills of Mt Ruapehu, the water is snow melt so cold and clean, runs from here down to the plains through native mountain Beech rain forest.

The walkway across the bogs of Mordor, well not quite, but this is Mt Ruapehu where The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit was filmed - the track leads to the Mangawhero Falls

At the wedding of two friends earlier this year, a warm evening and a huge lawn out in front of the venue - people wandered in and out taking advantage of the space.

Being a harbour city, we get bright cloudy mornings with spears of light between fast moving, low layers of cloud. Looking north from the waterfront Frank Kitts Park the bridge structures interrupt the background light
