Hundreds of US companies and executives signed a statement on Wednesday opposing "any discriminatory legislation" that would make it more difficult for people to vote. Five Black businessmen led the effort, texting and emailing hundreds of companies. "We won't do this often, but for this, it's Constitutional rights, it's democracy," Charles Phillips said of their work.
