Survey: Americans can expect to spend over $600 to attend a wedding in 2023

Roughly 6 in 10 (62 percent) of this year’s wedding attendees have at least one financial concern, according to a new Bankrate survey. Nearly 4 in 10 (36 percent) say they’ll be more conservative with their spending due to the state of the economy, while around 1 in 5 (21 percent) believe that wedding attendance costs will strain their budgets. Almost 1 in 5 (18 percent) will take on credit card debt to be able to attend. And millennials and Gen Zers are feeling those concerns at higher rates.
