Roe v. Wade is Dead.

The era of legal abortion in the United States is over. After five decades, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization this morning that states can ban or limit abortion earlier in pregnancy than a fetus would be viable outside the womb. Without Roe v. Wade, there is no more federally enshrined right to abortion in the U.S., leaving states across the country free to ban and criminalize it.
