From the Archive: 100 years ago, back in April 1913, the Sydney Mail was publishing photos of the contestants in the Sydney to Melbourne Motor Car Trial as they arrived at the trial’s final destination, the Haymarket, Melbourne. “The overall winner was W. R. Glasson (15-61 H.P. Talbot), who was first in all the sections - petrol consumption, hill climb, and reliability".
