DRAGON AGE 3 TAKING DIALOGUE SYSTEM TO NEXT LEVEL: From www.egmnow.com According to a PAX Australia attendee posting on the BioWare forums, the studio is looking to take their trademark dialogue system to the next level in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Speaking at PAX Australia, lead writer Patrick Weekes mentioned how he felt that Mass Effect‘s dialogue options boiled down to picking the blue or red option to win. For Inquisition, Weekes wants more elements at play influencing dialogue options, such as player stats, companions present, or previous dialogue option choices. Weekes also acknowledged fan backlash about Dragon Age 2‘s dialogue paraphrasing. Part of the writer’s goal in Inquisition is to create dialogue options that all feel “right,” but jibe with a player’s worldview or philosophy.

SAVE FILES WILL CARRY OVER TO DRAGON AGE 3: BioWare has confirmed that save files from earlier installments in the Dragon Age series will carry over to Dragon Age: Inquisition. BioWare producer Cameron Lee confirmed during a PAX Australia panel that the choices you made in earlier games will carry over to the latest installment. ”We know what we want to do,” he said (via GameSpot). “It will absolutely come across – your decisions carry [and] will matter.”
