DON’T SLEEP SPIRITUALLY “When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:7-9 Are you earnestly waiting for the coming of the Lord? How prepared are you to receive Him? Were He to come today, I mean, if He comes today, where will He meet you? The Bible says, the Son of man will come at a time when you are least prepared for Him. Therefore, make the most of life because life is too short to waste time on things that have no lasting value (Psalm 39:4-6). You just have to begin to think about Jesus’ return. That should be the object of your thoughts. Forget about what you are asking for from God. What you are waiting to receive - healing and deliverance is a past tense victory. You just have to think about the maintenance. You will be healed because of Jesus return, so that you can follow Jesus as a child follows his parents because you are a child of God. Jesus is coming. Don’t be in the dark about the coming of Jesus Christ. Your mind is the watchman. If it sleeps, the wily foe - clever enemy takes the opportunity to attack. Don’t sleep spiritually because of the coming of Jesus. You can sleep, but not spiritually because of Jesus’ return. Prayer: Lord Jesus, make my mind the watchman. Make my mind at its best for God. Strengthen me to watch and pray, in Jesus’ name.

TB Joshua Ministries

“Asking God for a specific thing will amount to limiting God to a specific answer.” -T.B. Joshua

LET GOD’S WILL BE DONE It is the will of God to answer prayer and God accepts the prayer of faith but does not always answer it to the letter. So, as you are praying for a solution to your problem, remember that asking God for a specific thing will amount to limiting God to a specific answer. Do not let your situation dictate the direction of your prayer. Pray as Jesus prayed in Luke 22:41-43, ‘Father, not My will but Your will be done’. “Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. On reaching the place, he said to them, ‘Pray that you will not fall into temptation.’ He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, ‘Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.’ An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him” (Luke 22:39-43). Jesus Christ purchased our deliverance, healing and blessing at the price of great suffering. Look to the Cross by faith – faith in the finished works of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. In mercy, He call us and healed us. In mercy, He called us and delivered us. In mercy, He called us and blessed us. And most important of all, in mercy, He called us and saved us. In mercy, you are not excluded. Don’t limit God but let His will be done in your life. He knows the best and will always work out the best.

FAITH – THE HEAVENLY FREQUENCY In your challenges in life, faith is there for you. When you are sick, facing a financial crisis, marital problem or other hardship, faith is there for you. Every person is given a measure of faith. Faith is the Heavenly currency. You need faith to act with God. Faith is like a Heavenly coin. If you want to buy food on this earth, you need money to buy it. But for things celestial, things in Heaven like healing, deliverance and salvation, you cannot get them in the market with money like things you need on earth. Those things in Heaven, we use faith to purchase them. How much money you have will determine how much goods you will buy. How much faith you have determines how much blessing you will receive. The amount of faith you have will determine how much blessing you will be able to accommodate. Faith releases healing, deliverance, blessing anointing. So, to receive these Heavenly things, you need faith. If you are without faith, you cannot purchase anything. Faith is Heavenly currency that we use to purchase Heavenly things. In your challenges in life, use your faith to put a demand because healing, deliverance, blessing anointing is available. I pray your faith will not fail.

YOUR FOCUS We are celebrating today because focus was not broken. In other words, we are here because Jesus kept His eyes on His goal. He kept His purpose in the forefront of His mind. Even as a young child, Jesus knew who He was and what He was all about. Luke 2:49, “ ‘Why were you searching for me?’ He asked. ‘Didn’t you know I had to be in My Father’s house?’ ” His God-given purpose was what He was born for, lived for and died for. That is why Jesus was able to say as He hung on the Cross, ‘It is finished’. Are you focusing on your goal? If you decide on your direction, God will give you the energy for the distance but you have to be focused on your goal. Your focus is your personal decision. Why do many people start off so well but soon derail? Broken focus is the main reason men fail. Make sure to include God in decision making if you don’t want to end up in failure by following the instruction given to Joshua, “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful” (Joshua 1:8).

I AM WIRED “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39). Apostle Paul was able to make this bold declaration of faith because he was wired to God, the Creator of Heaven and earth in a unique way. When you are wired to God in a unique way, nothing can separate you from the love of God. Today, our trials can separate us from Jesus because we are not wired to Him. Today’s language is only heard with the ears but the language God uses in the Bible must be heard with our hearts. When you become wired to God, the Holy Spirit affects your words and you begin to speak the language God used in the Bible to create and save us, to heal and bless us, to judge and rule over us. When you hear God’s Word in your heart, you begin to get God’s ideas, work with His projects, know His opinion about yourself and others and see life the way God sees it. Then, you will dream differently, think differently, have a sensitivity you never had before and enjoy the privilege of letting the Creator of Heaven and earth assist you in whatever you do. Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour and get ready to be wired to God in a unique way. If you are wired to God in a unique way, there is no one and there shall never be anyone quite like you.

Build Your Capacity To Believe “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them” (Mark 11:23). This is an encouragement for us to build our capacity to believe. How can we build it? It is not all up to God; certainly, it is not all up to us; it takes both God’s ability and our genuine willingness to build our capacity to believe. God’s role is: His Word available for us; His grace to cover us. Man’s role is: to obey what he hears. If man obeys what he hears, he has the capacity or ability to believe. What is possible for you may not be possible for me. What is possible for me is based on my capacity to believe. God cannot work through you except through your capacity to believe. Your capacity to believe can increase or decrease depending on the rate you feed your soul with God’s Word. In Romans 10:10, we learn that what is restricting us is not on the outside but on the inside. Our heart is the communication point or contact between belief and unbelief, God’s Spirit and evil spirit. Our belief needs to be reset. Resetting your belief can only be done according to Joshua 1:8, ‘Keep the Word in your mouth – WORDS. Meditate on the Word day and night – THOUGHTS. Do what the Word says – ACTIONS.’ If you want to move mountains with your belief, this is the process. Come on, move mountains today with your belief as you build your capacity by following the Kingdom Way (Joshua 1:8). Prayer Point: Lord Jesus Christ, increase my capacity to believe! My capacity to believe that You are the Healer, Deliverer, Provider, Saviour, Redeemer, in Jesus’ name!

PERFECT IN WEAKNESS As a Christian, the battle for survival is not a personal challenge but one against God. It is an opportunity to honour God before men. Upon our own strength we cannot rely. It is only upon God’s strength that we can go forth and go on. Our natural strength is as perfect weakness. Our natural courage is as perfect cowardice. All our sufficiency is of God. When you read the Bible, you will notice that God always seemed to chose the weak to put to shame the strong; He choose the foolish to put to shame the wise. In the book of 2 Corinthians 12:8-9, we read that God’s strength became perfect in Paul’s weakness. All Biblical characters if they did not make God their strength would have ended up living their lives unnoticed, uncelebrated and in obscurity. This explains why the young, rustic and seemingly inexperienced and tactless David could defeat Goliath, the giant, in battle. This explains why Moses, the son of a Hebrew slave could stand before Pharaoh and make known the will of God concerning his people. After reading the book of Ephesians 2:8-9, makes us understand that no one is too good or too bad to qualify for God’s grace. If the weak come to God, He is ready to help them just as He is ready to help the strong.

FOCUSED ON GOD’S SUFFICIENCY “When the members of the Sanhedrin heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him. But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. ‘Look,’ he said, ‘I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.’ At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their coats at the feet of a young man named Saul. While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, ‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.’ Then he fell on his knees and cried out, ‘Lord, do not hold this sin against them.’ When he had said this, he fell asleep” (Acts 7:54-60). The Book of Acts 7:54-60 describes the story of Apostle Stephen and his incredible focus in his painful last moments in this world. Stephen had experienced God and that was why the fear of being stoned to death did not scare him to abandon his faith. At each stone cast at him, Stephen confessed, “Jesus is Lord! Jesus is Lord!” He knew that the everlasting joy of finally being with His Lord after the stoning, far surpassed the temporary pain he felt as each stone hit his mortal body. Stephen could withstand the stoning because he was focused on his dream of salvation and not on the happenings on the outside. We should emulate Stephen’s attitude at each stone of intimidation, false accusation, name calling, slanderous remarks and campaigns of calumny hurled at us by always keeping our focus on Jesus Christ and His sufficiency.

STAY IN FAITH AND MAKE IT WORK! You have been created to be a successful person. So, it is definitely God’s desire for you to be successful, healed and blessed today but it is not all up to Jesus. It is not all up to Jesus for you to be successful today. It is not all up to Jesus for you to be healed and blessed today. Certainly, it is not all up to God. You have a role to play. What is your role? Mark 11:22-23, “ ‘Have faith in God,’ Jesus answered. ‘Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them”. Faith acts now, believes now and receives now. This is one of the principles that will change your life tremendously. Faith is being in a future state as if it were already here, as if it had already happened. This is what moves God’s Word to work. We don’t just sit down somewhere believing that faith will make things work. The Bible says that faith without works or action is dead. Divine faith when it is expressed in prayer is a force that has God behind it for its accomplishment. Faith sees the invisible; faith believes the impossible; faith receives the incredible. Stay in faith and make it work!

ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN? Does the way you live your life tell people that you are a Christian or is it difficult for people to tell where you belong? Only your lifestyle can testify to your confession of Christ. If you want to be a Christian, be a Christian. No one can be a Christian without the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 12:3 – “Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.” If you are worshipping God without depending on the Spirit of God, you are serving a god you do not know. If you worship God without the Spirit of God, you will only hear yourself and people around you will hear you; God will not hear you in your act of worship. Today, many speak dance, pray, fast and speak about Jesus without the Spirit of God. Ignorantly, they believe they are serving God but the Lord does not hear them. Without the Spirit of God, you are serving a dead and lifeless god. God’s opinion and God’s idea about your act of worship – praying, fasting, dancing, worship, just name them – will be meaningless, idle and oftentimes destructive. Are you depending upon God’s Spirit to worship? Acting on the Word brings about God’s Spirit. The Word builds Christ’s nature. God is building Himself into us, making Himself a part of us as His Word rules, sanctifies and dominates our spirit nature. If you want to be a Christian, be a Christian through His Word by His Spirit.

THE REASON FOR THE SEASON “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end” (Isaiah 9:6-7). Love was born at Christmas. Kindness, faithfulness and a giving Spirit were born at Christmas. Therefore, when you celebrate the birth of Jesus this Christmas, you are celebrating His giving Spirit, faithfulness, love, kindness and divine knowledge. Our love for Christ is the basis of our love for one another. If you say you love God – God loves the strangers, He loves the widows, the orphans, the needy – you should therefore be under obligation to love your fellow brother, to love others, to love your neighbor. Your neighbor could be your enemy, your neighbor could be those who do not share the same faith as you, love them. Jesus is the reason for the season. In Mark 12:41-42, Jesus watched as the poor widow put into the offering box what she cherished most, her two last coins. Nothing is too small to plant – be it your love, your time, your strength, your effort – nothing is too small to plant if you are giving what God has put in your heart to give. Someone, somewhere is waiting for you this Christmas, so look around for those who are in need and follow in the light of love; act love, do love and let love lead.

ATTRACT GOD’S ATTENTION Matthew 14:28-29 – “ ‘Lord, if it’s you’, Peter replied, ‘tell me to come to you on the water.’ ‘Come,’ he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.” In this passage, we learn how Peter, by faith, did what no one had ever done before, simply by taking Jesus Christ at His every Word. In our day and generation, many times we find ourselves in a similar situation as Peter. We find ourselves in a comfort zone, never ready to step out in faith in order to reach Jesus Christ. Remember the woman with the issue of blood; her desperate circumstances triggered desperate faith. She had run out of rope, it was time for her to grab onto faith. Peter knew that if God was supporting his position, impossibilities would become possible. He felt that it was time for him to do something different to change his life from failure to success. Jesus accepts anyone who comes to Him in faith, even those who previously rejected Him. Peter decided that if he wanted a different result in his life, he had to do something no one had ever done before; he did what seemed crazy to the ordinary mind. He decided to show his excitement in order to attract God’s attention in his situation. In whatever situation you find yourself in today, Jesus Christ is waiting for you to take a step of faith in order to attract His attention in your life. When you attract God’s attention in your life, all things become possible. Prayer: God, give me the grace to do all things today to be seen by You, not to be seen by men, in Jesus’ mighty name!

IN MERCY GOD HAS CALLED YOU If you look at the situation around you, you will discover that men are always in need of one thing or the other. Everyone wants to change but they just don’t know how to go about it. Some want to improve their financial status, some want a life partner, some want breakthrough. In fact, everyone cherishes breakthrough, that is why they work hard. Many people begin to offer a casting and binding prayer, forgetting that our personal effort is not required for in mercy, God has called us and saved us. In mercy, God has called us and delivered us. In mercy, He has called us and blessed and healed us. Isaiah 63:9 – “In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.” So, whatever situation you are in, remember, in mercy, He has called you and put you through and always keep in mind that in His mercy, you are not excluded. Jesus loves you as much as He does any of His children. Be encouraged for He will never leave you without mercy. May the mercy and favour of God locate you and speak for your life today, in Jesus’ name.

THROW OFF EVERYTHING THAT HINDERS Hebrews 12:1 - “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us…” Do you want to run your race with God but there are things that are hindering your progress or forward movement? Throw it off!!! Ask Blind Bartimaeus in the book of Mark 10:46-52 and he will tell you that throwing off every hindrance and embracing Jesus Christ was the best thing he ever did in life. He cast aside his old self, sinful nature and self-righteousness and embraced Jesus Christ; he was transformed from Blind Bartimaeus to Bartimaeus with perfect vision. He discovered his real value – the real him, the prosperous him, the successful him, the healthy him; the way that God saw him. Sin or bad habits is the greatest hindrance to a person’s spiritual progress. Unless you conquer your hindrance, you cannot make any progress in life. To conquer your hindrance, you must admit that you are guilty, acknowledge your sin and trust in Christ’s sacrifice. By doing this, it will make you clean and whole within. Make a heart decision and throw off every hindrance today and live in the promise of victory as you run with perseverance the race marked out for you. Prayer Point: Lord, give me the grace to throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles in Jesus’ name.

THE SKY IS YOUR LIMIT As little children, many people used to say, “When I am a grownup, I want to be a pilot” or “When I am an adult, I want to be a doctor”. Others had many dreams but how many of those dreams have actually become a reality? Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. Some of us have been living within a four-footed ceiling whereas the sky is our limit. A four-footed ceiling means to reduce your vision. If you have a dream, remember that nobody will believe that dream except you. You have to protect your dream as nobody else can do that for you. How do you protect your dream? Stop talking the language of a victim - be positive. Your life can never and will never rise above the level of your thoughts and words. It is never too late to start doing the right thing now. Let us learn to dream again. To learn to dream again is to have big plans. To learn to dream again is to readjust, to look to God. Learn to dream again because the sky is your limit.

THE SINNER’S ONLY SAVIOUR John 14:6, “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’.” Here, Christ is the way, the truth and the life. That is, He is the beginning, the middle and the end. As the truth, He is the source. As the life, He is the end of it. Hear His Master’s statement: “No one can approach God but through Me”. The sinner cannot reach God except through Jesus. The unsaved might cry for a thousand years – but if there is no Mediator, there would be no hope for them because no man can approach God without a Mediator. Because of sin, our relationship with God Almighty was cut off; therefore, He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ to restore the relationship and fellowship between God and man. He paid the price for our sin at the Cross of Calvary. Now, we have Someone at the right hand of God, interceding for us, who ever remains faithful. In every temptation, in every trial, in every hard place, Jesus ever lives to pray for us. That is the reason for our victory. Although our situation may seem difficult, because of Jesus Christ, there is no real evil in it. Our difficulties and challenges as Christians are not to impair us but to improve us. Hard times are meant to draw you closer to the Author of the life you seek. To withstand hard times, stand with Christ, then, the victory is as sure as the rising of the sun! Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, be my Mediator. Secure my life, future, destiny by the blood of Jesus Christ and the fire of the Holy Ghost, in Jesus’ name!

YOUR SITUATION IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY 1 Peter 1:6-7, “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honour, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” Faith tells me Jesus came. Hope tells me Jesus is coming back but love tells me Jesus is here. If Jesus is here, with you in your situation, He will strengthen you to endure it. Grace in the soul is a new life in the soul. Has your situation ever pressed you down to doubt God’s love? Is any weakness holding you down? Your weakness could be poverty, sickness, depression, barrenness, isolation, hatred, vices, bad habits and so on. What we see as a disadvantage can be turned into an advantage for God’s glory. This was true of Apostle Paul. A thorn in the Apostle’s flesh became an opportunity for God’s strength to be seen in his weakness because he was walking with the Lord. There is no state of being that is as rewarding as living in tune with God. The key is not to suppress the flesh but to surrender to the Holy Spirit. One is rewarded when one prays in faith; one is rewarded when one prays in the spirit. Anything that you do that is not in spirit is superficial. When you pray in the spirit, the superficial waste passes away and you will not sweat before receiving God’s answer. To see your situation as an opportunity, take it back from the hands of the devil. Stop magnifying your adversity above your Heavenly Father by seeing your circumstances as a blessing and a rare opportunity to honour God before men. It honours God to believe Him even when every sense contradicts Him; God honours those who honour Him.

IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL “And she answered, ‘It is well’ ” (2 Kings 4:26). We have a lesson to learn from the Shunammite woman. What could be more agonizing than the experience of a mother losing her only child in her old age? Without even informing her husband of this tragedy, she travelled a long distance to meet Elisha the Prophet of God because she had the faith that if only she could meet the man of God, all would be well. She knew that her case was redeemable; that was why she confessed positively about it. What situation are you in? Your situation is redeemable through Christ. Right now, begin to change your thoughts and words. Think like a victor, talk like a victor and act like a victor by confessing ‘it is well’ and you will be victorious. We are called to God’s kind of lifestyle – positive thinking, talking and acting. Your confession is the real faith talking. What you say will become a visible reality in the natural world if you steadfastly hold on to your confession of faith. No one conquers without faith. No one is blessed, healed and saved without faith. Faith sees the invisible, believes the impossible and receives the incredible. Therefore, as a man or woman of faith, even in the midst of crises, hardship and pain, you can confidently say, “It is well with my soul” because as a child of God, He will always makes your trouble work for your advancement. Prayer Point: Lord, Jesus Christ, whether You heal me or not, You are my Healer; whether You bless me or not, You are my Provider; whether You deliver me or not, You are my Deliverer; whether You save me or not, You are my Saviour. Thank You, Lord! It is well with my soul, in Jesus’ name.

GOD NEVER STOPS GIVING US REASONS TO PRAISE HIM Ephesians 1:3 – “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” You must praise Him every day of your life. You have a reason to praise Him all the time as a Christian because you have blessings that many are deprived of. These are undeserved blessings – you receive them by grace. When you say, ‘Why is God allowing this to happen?’ – You must not forget the mercy that God has poured upon your life. Mercy is the opposite of merit. Someone is praying for the blessings you have. You say, ‘Why me of these problems?’ What are you complaining about? Not until you discover the reason to praise Him should you praise Him. You should praise Him all the time - whether good or hard times praise him. Only then will the blessings of God flow in your life. So, allow the blessings of God to flow in your life by cultivating the habit for finding reasons to praise God.

GOOD MORNING! Emmanuel! Remember Prophet T.B. Joshua's message on Sunday - as Christians, we should call all times, 'Good morning'. Please spread this important message across to your family, friends and colleagues! #GoodMorning

THE WORD DOMINATING YOU In Acts 20:32, God commends us to the Word of His grace. This Word builds Christ’s nature into individuals. In other words, God is building Himself in to us, making Himself part of us as the Word rules, dominates and sanctifies our spirit nature. He is making Himself a part of us so that His instinct and nature would be evident and obvious in us, so that His wisdom would be deposited into our hearts, so that everything about us would become everything about Him. For in Him is solution to our problems. In Him is healing for our sickness. In Him is answer to our questions. But if there is no indwelling Word, Jesus will not come onto the scene to answer you. It is the Word dominating you that is the Lordship of Christ in you. In the Book of Acts, the Word grew in the minds of the people and gained supremacy over them. It dominated their thoughts, words and actions. Can the same be said of your life today? You may study the Word of God for years but not only must you hear the Word with your ears, you must also hear the Word with your heart. How do we hear the Word with our heart? To hear God’s Word with our heart requires openness and hunger for God’s Word. See God’s Word as if your life depends on knowing it. Not only must you have God’s Word in order to be born again, you must also have His Spirit, mixed with faith and repentance in your heart. Jesus Christ is waiting for you at the point of His Spirit. Look into the Word of God, act upon it and don’t be surprised if any moment from now, you are transformed, in Jesus’ name!
