Atlantic Puffins

A group of Puffins in known as a ‘Circus’.

Atlantic Puffin of the Farne Islands.

All images were taken using a Canon 70D + Canon 100-400mm IS II lens.

During my trip to Inner Farne which last around 4.5 hours, I took around 5,000 images.

The Atlantic Puffin, also known as the ‘Clown of the sea’ is a spectacular bird which comes in off the Atlantic Ocean to nest and raise it’s young for a few months each year.

As a Nature Photographer, the Farne Islands in Northumberland is always somewhere I wanted to visit to photograph these magnificent birds.
