This is me and my God Mama in Jamaica a couple years ago and I woke up this morning thinking of her. Been thinking about her a lot lately because it is coming up on the year anniversary of her passing. As too many of us have experienced, we had to say goodbye far too early. She was beautiful, young, vibrant, crazy funny, filled with love and the most generous person I have ever known. Last year she let go and drifted into the great unknown, hopefully to a place where we all meet again. I'll never forget this moment because we drove hours into the Jamaican countryside and I fell in love. I didn't want to leave. As we sat listening to the soft sounds of the country I made a declaration that if I ever got married (or some kinda love ceremony 😉) it would be in that spot one day. She told me I was nuts and that it was too far of a trek and she'd be the only one to show up! I replied that that's the point. The ones down are the only ones I want to be there! Then we sat in the quiet again for a while until she said, "Will you save me this exact seat?" Absolutely One day... That spot... That seat! She'll be there 🙏❤️💫🇯🇲 #SentimentalSaturday #WillAlwaysMissHer 😇
