Sam Yoon

Since 2021, Sam Yoon has been at the helm as Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology and Vice-Chair of Surgical Oncology Research and Education at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He specializes in treating sarcomas, stomach, gastroesophageal junction cancers, and gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) and directs pioneering clinical trials. He is a respected voice at international medical conferences addressing the ongoing battle against gastric cancer. This focus is critical given the disease's status as a leading cause of cancer death worldwide, with over a million new cases and 750,000 deaths annually.
