Ronald L Book
Ronald L Book embarked on his journey in Florida's policymaking arena by joining the Florida State Legislature. His dedication and passion for public service paved the way for a distinguished career. Later, he gained valuable executive-branch experience as Special Counsel and head of Legislative Affairs for Governor Bob Graham's administration. Subsequently, he spent nearly seven years as a Partner and Director of the Administrative and Governmental Law Department at the esteemed Miami-based firm Sparber, Shevin, Shapo, Heilbronner & Book, P.A. (1982-1987). Throughout his illustrious career, he played instrumental roles in various statewide political campaigns, including those at the gubernatorial, cabinet-level, and referendum levels. Notable among these was his contribution to the success of the 1980s "Five for Florida's Future" campaign and his involvement in two consequential referendums in 2004 and 2008, which resulted in the legalization of gaming in Florida's pari-mutuel facilities.
