Shelton Jackson Lee better known by Spike Lee is an African American film director, producer, writer, and actor. He own his very own production company 40 Acres and A Mule Filmworks, the production company has produced over 35 films since 1983. Including my favorite Spike Lee Joint's The autobiography of Malcom X, Do The Right Thing, Crooklyn and of course Love & Basketball. Spike Lee may not have been the first but he is definitely a great and there is not one other like him. If you haven't seen it watch the video of @Pharrell interviewing him, it is beyond inspiring. What is your favorite Spike Lee Joint? #ThankYou #BlackHistoryMonth #SayItLoudImBlackAndImProud

African Americans are usually@the subject of photos and fashion spreads but we often forget that the ones behind the camera are also a part of the magic that happens. Gordon Parks is an example of this. He was an iconic Black photographer whose works have graces the pages of Life and TIME, and he is most famous for his work on the shots he took for Life Magazine of the 1971 film "Shaft" #PayHomage #blackhistorymonth #blackhistorymonthphotochallange #Feb2

Even though we are a day late we are still gonna represent for Feb 1st. The Influential Black Male : Mr. Harry Belafonte. Acclaimed calypso artist turned powerhouse of the Civil Rights Movement. He is the perfect example of how a Black celebrity/icon can use his celebrity in a positive way. He used his status to breakthrough the walls of pop culture and fight for the rights we as those of the African Diaspora enjoy and still fight for today #blackhistorymonth #blackhistorymonthphotochallange
