HONDA VISION XS-1 (IMAGES) - The Honda Vision XS-1 is a creative study model which embodies Honda's vision for the future of manufacturing. Based on Honda's original M/M (man maximum, machine minimum) concept*, the Honda Vision XS-1 fuses together two different values, a sporty exterior styling and amazing spaciousness, in the compact body. Furthermore, based on the Honda design concept, "Exciting H Design," Honda's human-centered design concept was embodied in this model. The Honda Vision XS-1 was designed to represent Honda's creativity in designing compact vehicles whose market is growing all around the world. Although there is no mass-production plan for this model at the moment, Honda chose to exhibit the world premiere of this model in India, a rapidly growing market where Honda has strong ties.

SUBARU LEGACY (IMAGES) - The new Legacy ushers in the sixth generation of its model, a full 25 years since the first generation Legacy was released in 1989. A shared universal value among the past models of the Legacy is the strong, unwavering trust built up between driver and car. Over the course of the past quarter century, Subaru has consistently sought out a presence and value commensurate with its flagship model. EXTERIOR DESIGN "Muscularity with Agility" was adopted as the design theme to create sportier and more refined styling for the Subaru flagship sedan. Maintaining the design for the spacious, comfortable cabin space the Legacy is known for, the styling focuses on a sculptured body evoking a sense of safety and a strong base which grips the road with AWD. A body-integrated hexagonal grille and hawk-eye headlights are the new face of Subaru. Also, the dynamic character lines on the body side and tight, expressive body surface further raise the class for an already classy sport sedan. The front end employs a nose cone design. Due to the three dimensional shape beginning with the front grille, more dynamic design has been achieved. The rear combination lamps have the same design motif as the front in pursuit of a fearless image, front to back. Also, LED lamps are employed for the tail and brake lamps to help enhance fuel economy, and optimal light distribution has improved night visibility. INTERIOR DESIGN "Comfortable and Sporty" was adopted as the design theme to dramatically improve quality and comfort, while creating a next-generation interior offering a sportier driver's area and an infotainment system for a more enjoyable in-car experience. The cabin is configured for a comfortable long driving, striking a balance between openness and secure feeling with adequate forward space. Also, the wide dashboard has horizontal highlights to give an even wider feel. For the interior colours, there are a sporty black and an ornate ivory configuration, meant to provide appeal with a cabin combining driving excitement with comfort and quality. In the black interior, silver highlights have been added as a base tone to create a horizontal design in the black trim, creating a tight and sporty, yet spacious feel. Meanwhile in the ivory interior, ivory spreads horizontally throughout for a sporty, yet bright and elegant feel. The head unit has a navigation system and audio with intuitive touch operation. A wide, flat centre display* is employed to allow passengers to enjoy various media and provide them with various information. Also, consolidating information onto one screen makes it easier to see and use. The Harman/Kardon speaker system has exclusive audio settings for uncompromising acoustics, even at the base grade by optimizing each unit. The gauge cluster features a dual-dial layout with a three-dimensional feel and integrated colour LCDs for greater presence and sporty impact. Blue-ring illumination of the meters in the top-grade models emphasizes the sporty feel.

FERRARI CALIFORNIA-T (IMAGES) - The new Ferrari California T epitomises elegance, sportiness, versatility and exclusivity: characteristics that have distinguished every California model since the 1950s. It will be unveiled at the 2014 Geneva International Motor Show later this year in March. Considerable attention was paid to the design, maintaining the outgoing model’s overall dimensions while ensuring that the California T has a new, individual personality. The sleek proportions were penned by the Ferrari Styling Centre in collaboration with Pininfarina and are very much in keeping with the Ferrari front-engined ethos. The shape of the California T’s flanks is inspired by the 250 Testa Rossa’s famous pontoon-fender styling, with the front wing line stretching back towards the compact, muscular rear, bringing an aerodynamic sleekness and movement to the sides. The rear benefits from meticulous aerodynamic research resulting in a new triple-fence diffuser. The California T’s cabin was designed to be as ergonomic as possible and exudes a sense of warmth and craftsmanship, with luxurious Frau semi-aniline leather trim. The interior space is flexible so that owners can make the most efficient use of the boot capacity even with the top down, thanks to the opening between the luggage compartment and rear seats. The human-machine interface encompasses the Ferrari steering wheel with integrated controls while the Turbo Performance Engineer (TPE) takes pride of place between the two air vents in the centre of the dash. The TPE display boasts a capacitive (touch-sensitive) surround to scroll through screens with information on making the most of the new engine’s performance. The California T also features a new infotainment system with an extremely intuitive, high-resolution 6.5” screen featuring both touch-screen and conventional controls.

KIA GT4 STINGER CONCEPT (TEASER) - The Kia GT4 Stinger concept car is set to make its debut at the North American International Auto Show on 13 January 2014. The surround glows white and is flanked by vertical LED headlamps. Front-brake cooling vents funnel air around 20-inch wheels whilst a carbon fibre front splitter mounted below the bumper provides added downforce. Powering these low-slung, sleek lines is a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that provides 315 horsepower to the rear wheels.
