Holiday Jewels & Baubles | Style Me Pretty
I don’t know why, but for some reason whenever I think of getting dressed up for holiday parties, I always veer towards shiny, glittery pieces. Maybe it’s because of all the gorgeous baubles on trees… whatever the reason, I always feel much more festive! These clips and pins are perfect for small presents or stocking stuffers. You can find great jewels & vintage brooches on etsy, and the tulle from your local craft store. Attach to a piece of pretty card …
I have a terrible confession. I’m an Australian who hates the beach. I know, I know, we have amazing beaches with beautiful white sand and blue waves… ugh. All I see is sand stuck to everything, swallowing salt water, shark alerts, being stung by jelly fish, sunburn and seaweed wrapping around my ankles. What I do like about the beach is how my hair looks afterwards. Well now I can have the beach waves without all the fuss - and it’s so cheap! Yay!
I don’t think I’ll ever get the hang of tying on a turban from a scarf, so this tutorial is great because it’s made from stretchy headbands - just pull it on and you’re done!
Champagne Jello Squares | 1 Fine Cookie
As y'all know, I’m not big into drinking, but I love recipes that use alcohol because they’re usually super fun! And I don’t think you can get any more fun than these incredibly sparkly champagne jello squares! 1 Fine Cookie has a couple of different recipes for these babies, including a non alcoholic version for those of us who just want the sparkle without the kick!
I’m all for big, chunky, bright and fun jewelry but there’s something special about a simple, delicate piece too. Hello, Whimsy shows us how to make a set of lovely bracelets that are super easy to customise to your tastes. You’ll need a few tools but once you start making, you’re going to get hooked and not be able to stop, trust me!
Anthropologie Inspired Rope Necklace | Henry Happened
I love how statement necklaces can take your outfit from blah to bam, and this one is no exception! Nautical goes a bit edgy with the addition of gold spikes with this Anthro inspired necklace from Henry Happened, and bonus - it costs a lot less to make than to buy - always good for the hip pocket!
Ah, mini food. There’s nothing better than mini versions of your favourite food, especially for parties. Brit + Co brings three delicious treats for your next shindig or… any occasion really… Mini Deep Dish Pizzas, Buffalo Chicken Pot Pies and Baked Shrimp Ragoon. Yum, yum and yum.
Dry shampoo is a beauty staple in my house - especially because I am a habitual snooze button hitter! But I don’t particularly love the spray cans because the spray can cause my asthma to flare up, and if you’re not a dab hand at it and you have darker hair you can end up with obvious white powder, This version is great because you can tint it to a darker colour and dust it on with a brush in the places you need it. Plus - it’s way cheaper to make than buy!
How To Stencil on Fabric + Elastic Waist Skirt Tutorial | Prudent Baby
Here’s a two-fer DIY for y'all - not only how to create your own flippy, comfy elastic waist skirt, but also a great how to on stenciling it! Knit Heart Dress Tutorial | The Sewing Rabbit
First off - how adorable are those little girls!? Second, how adorable is that little dress!? Actually I would love that dress too - luckily this tutorial teaches you how to make the dress using a dress you already have as a template. Free Sewing Room Organization Printables | See Kate Sew
My sewing box is a terrible, disorganised mess right now, so it seemed to be a touch of kismet to come across these free printable labels! Grab yourself some mason jars and glue and get organised yourself. And if you’re feeling brave, you could even attach the lids of the jars to the underside of a shelf so you can screw on/off your jars and keep all your other crafty stuff above! Hmm, I just inspired myself…

Orange Coconut Whipped Body Butter | Henry Happened
I love the body butter at the Body Shop, but it’s so expensive… luckily it’s really easy to make! You can find coconut oil at the health food shops - it’s not only great to use on your body, but in your cooking too. If you’re not keen on oranges, you can try using any body safe scent - try verbena for a lemony-coconut scent or add more coconut for a coconut-coconut scent!
