Photo by @pedromcbride // Walking the Grand Canyon — all 600 miles — is far from easy, but the world between the rim and the river is a sublime wonder. Water, lightning and stars came together brilliantly in the First Place AND People's Choice winning image of the #TPSAffinity contest! @kens_k110 (Kensuke Ito) is the winner!!! Our judge @irablockphoto had this to say: “ A remarkable image, nature has cooperated fully with the photographer. The location is superb, and there is a combination of a dark blue sky with stars, clouds and lightning strikes – multiple strikes. All of this is enhanced by the reflection in the water. The balance, color and the perspective of this composition really draws the viewer into the photo. The photographer was obviously prepared, so when the moment arrived he or she was able to capture it. Some may think the photographer was lucky, but remember 'luck Is what happens when preparation and opportunity collide'. to Kensuke Ito and all of our winners! We want to thank our sponsor Affinity Photo and our judge Ira Block. Be sure to check in next week for the details on how to enter our next contest!
