The Olympic Council of Asia has chosen six esports titles, including League of Legends, Hearthstone, StarCraft II, Pro Evolution Soccer, Clash Royale and Arena of Valor, for the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, in August and September. The Olympic Council of Asia partnered with Alisports, the sporting arm of megacorp Alibaba, to host esports events at the Asian Games in 2018 and 2022, with Tencent (the owner of League of Legends and Arena of Valor, an investor in StarCraft and Hearthstone publisher Activision Blizzard and a content partner of ESPN) co-operating the broadcast.
