I had the idea of this photo from the moment I stepped into Hang Son Doong, however it wasn't until my third trip there that the stars aligned (quite literally, ha) to make this possible. This is looking out of the second doline, or skylight, nearly 3.5 km inside the cave.

The water in the Dead Sea is some of the saltiest in the world, with seven times the salt content of the sea. To get this view, I poked my head down through a hole in the back of the cave at sunset and watched as a solitary drop of salty water to fell to the surface.
