Over the past few months I have developed a passion for many things. One thing is developing a love for taking notes, they are just so fun to me. I also loved reading Rosalind Franklin: The Dark Lady of DNA. I loved this book because it brings together history and biology. I have learned to love photosynthesis because without it, we would not be alive.
So far this year in honors bio, I have improved many things. One thing is my ability to use microscopes. I improved in technology but using all of these different programs has helped me become better at using it. My collaboration/teamwork skills have improved with all of the group activities I have done. The final thing that has improved is my scientific thinking skills because of the lab conclusions we have done.
I have achieved a few personal goals this year in bio. One example of that is being able to write a lab conclusion with ease using scientific language. Another struggle I have overcome is by being able to finally understand the cell structure and its many functions.
For extra credit, I took a self-take field trip to the Claremont Botanical gardens. There I saw many plants and animals that are native to Southern California. While I was there it realized all plants needed water, either they were drought tolerant or not.
