Photo by @petekmuller. A man walks through the streets of downtown #Harare, #Zimbabwe at dusk. Harare is a beautiful city despite a level of decay caused by various, recent economic challenges. The city has a beautiful, downtown business district and is characterized by an array of wonderful recreational parks. Many of Harare's avenues are lined with gorgeous Jacaranda trees that bloom with vibrant purple flowers. One thing I love about Zimbabwe is the presence of true seasons. I grew up in the New England region of the United States and therefore have a nostalgic affinity for cool Fall weather. One finds that in Zimbabwe. In months like July, the leaves turn colors and the sun shines brightly but the temperature is brisk. I look for every opportunity to return. #Africa #city #urbanlife #seasons

It's been an amazing journey over 5,500 km's traveled, on this leg of the project. #Indian #Polaroid #West #Australia #ocean #Hope #photography @patrickbrownphoto Patrick Brown © 2015 Panos Pictures

When the Bergen Museum in Norway closed the doors of its natural history section for restoration in 2013, it was forced to operate an unusual migration: moving thousands of taxidermied animals. The fragile figures had to be carefully wrapped for transportation. Norwegian photographer Helge Skodvin (@hskodvin) took a humorous approach to the move, letting the animals “be themselves,” he tells TIME. Photograph by @hskodvin—@instituteartist. Photograph by George Steinmetz @geosteinmetz Even though New York taxis were not officially required to be painted yellow—specifically, “Dupont M6284 or its equivalent”—until 1967, cab companies started painting their cars yellow before World War I. And the tradition continues to this day. The biggest gathering of the yellow tribe is at JFK, as seen early on a Sunday morning.
