Welcome back to another edition of Head 2 Head, where this time, we focus our attention on skateboarding with international stars TJ Rogers and Tommy Fynn. Both skaters up the ante down the 11-stair MTN Dew hubba with tech switch moves. TJ hits the hubba with a switch backside tailslide while Tommy rolls away with a kickflip crook. Both are undeniably tech and challenging in their own right.
In this edition of Head 2 Head, we had Olympic snowboard medalists Zoi Sadowski-Synnott and Kokomo Murase from Dew Tour Copper in 2021. Although they come from worlds apart, both women shared the podium at the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing—Zoi taking Silver and Komomo Bronze in Big Air—and stylish frontside 720s. As the video above shows, the two spin dust off the kicker as they effortlessly rotate through crisp winter air, landing two full 360s like nobody’s biz. Watch more Head 2 Head videos here.
The last we saw Japan’s snowboard superpipe stars Yuto Totsuka and Ruka Hirano on the same mountain was back in 2021 at Copper Mountain, both vying to secure their spot for the upcoming winter games in Beijing. Both snowboarders wound up taking a podium position at Dew Tour, showing the world that Japan is a force to be reckoned with. In this Head 2 Head, we look at their flawless backside double cork 1260s executed between a tornado of other moves. Watch more Head 2 Head videos here.
The year was 2021, and elite superpipe snowboarders Shaun White and Ayumu Hirano gathered at Copper Mountain for Dew Tour to secure seats for the then-upcoming Winter Games in Beijing. This Dew Tour would also be a historic milestone as Ayumu puts down the first ever triple cork in competition, and Shaun announced this as his last Dew Tour competition. So, it’s safe to say both were out for blood, digging deep into their bags of tricks and putting down face-melting runs. We’re here today to look back at their first pipe hits, starting runs off with frontside 1440s with the utmost skill, precision, and style. Watch more Head 2 Head videos here.
