He recently joined Singapore Institute of Technology as Professor and Programme Director of the new Bachelor of Hospitality Business with Honours programme to be launched in fall 2015.  This will be the first hospitality business degree programme offered by a Singapore autonomous university.  His past academic experience also includes the University of San Francisco, Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Hotel and Tourism Management, San Francisco State University and William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Previously, he held senior level sales and marketing positions with the San Jose Convention and Visitors Bureau in San Jose, CA; Shangri-la International Hotels in the USA and Asia; Red Lion Hotels; and Marriott Hotels and Resorts. His research interests are in hotel marketing, buyer-seller relationships, and convention and event management.
