Creamy Shrimp and Mushroom Pasta Recipe from Metabolic Cookbook: serves 4, prep 5 min, cook time 30 min 4-8 oz fettuccine or linguine 10 tbsp butter, divided (I know, but I’ve tried it with less and it’s just not the same) 8 oz fresh, sliced mushrooms 2 garlic cloves, minced 3 oz cream cheese, cut into small pieces 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped 1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped (you can use dried herbs if that’s all you have) 2/3 cup boiling water (from your noodle pot) 1 lb cooked shrimp (feel free to buy frozen-gasp!) Boil and salt a large pot of water and cook your pasta. I usually only use about half of an 8 oz box, preferring fewer noodles. While your pasta is cooking, cook your shrimp if necessary and reserve. If your shrimp are pre-cooked and frozen, quickly thaw them under running water. In a large skillet melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat and saute mushrooms until soft and brown. Season with salt and pepper. Reserve cooked mushrooms and melt remaining butter in the skillet. Add minced garlic, cream cheese, and herbs. At this point, I generally feel like something has gone terribly wrong. The cream cheese doesn’t really melt and starts to look almost curdled, don’t worry about it! It will all smooth out and be wonderful when we add the water. I promise. Simmer cream cheese mixture until well blended. Get a scoop of boiling pasta water from your noodle pot and mix it in, stirring quickly to smooth out the sauce. Keep sauce hot and add shrimp and mushrooms, mix well and simmer (stirring often) until everything is hot and thickened, about 10 minutes-you wont ruin this sauce by accidentally boiling it so don’t worry. Toss sauce with cooked noodles and serve.

Cooks while you sleep! *To SAVE this recipe, be sure to click SHARE so it will store on your personal page.* Ingredients: 1 bag 26 oz. frozen hash browns 12 eggs 1 cup milk 1 tablespoon ground mustard 1 16 oz. roll sausage maple, sage or regular sausage. Salt and pepper 16 oz. bag shredded cheddar cheese Directions: 1. Spray crock pot and evenly spread hash browns at the bottom. 2. Crack 12 eggs in a large bowl. 3. Mix well (and slowly) using a whisk. 4. Add the milk. 5. Go ahead and sprinkle in the ground mustard. This might sound like a weird ingredient, but I've come to love (and use) this in most of my recipes. 6. Add plenty of salt.... ...and lots of fresh pepper. Mix well and set aside. 7. Cook the sausage on high heat, drain and set aside. 8. Add sausage on top of hash browns. 9. Is this enough cheese? Maybe? Probably. Throw the whole big bag in there. 10. Mix it up well. Or good, depending on where you're from. 11. Pour the egg mixture over everything in the crock pot. Using a wood spoon, even everything out so it's spread evenly. 12. Turn the crock pot on low for 6-8 hours. Some fun variations of this recipe. Before cooking (during prep) you can add: chunks of sourdough bread diced chiles salsa diced green onions

Xtreme Fat Loss Diet - Lose 25 Pounds In 25 Days: CUCUMBER CUPS STUFFED WITH SPICY CRAB INGREDIENTS 3 long cucumbers 1/4 cup sour cream (use reduced fat for lower-cal version) 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened (use reduced fat for lower-cal version) 3/4 cup crab meat, excess water removed 1 tsp hot pepper sauce (Tabasco or tapito) 1 tsp brown mustard Salt and pepper to taste 1 tbs minced green onion Garnish with chili powder or paprika if desired INSTRUCTIONS Remove the peel from the cucumbers using a vegetable peeler. Cut the cucumber into 2 inch slices. Using a small melon baller, scoop out most of the inside. You want to leave the walls and a thick portion of the bottom intact. In a bowl, combine the sour cream and the cream cheese with a fork until well combined. add the remaining ingredients and stir until combined. Fill each of the cucumber cups with the crab dip. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve within 2 hours of making. Experiment with different dips in the cucumber cups like hummus or a Greek yogurt spread. Enjoy!

Fill with ANYthing you want: ham & broccoli, chicken & carrots, spinach w/ feta & tomatoes, steak & bell peppers....whatever you have in the fridge. (Note: add all veggies RAW - they will cook to perfection during the baking process) Mix approx 1 egg per/muffin in a blender w/ a splash of milk. Pour directly into each cup just below the rim. Top with shredded or sliced cheeses of your choice. Bake at 425 degrees for approx 20 min. Let cool before removing from pan These can be stored in your fridge for up to 3-4 days! Simply warm in the microwave for a quick breakfast on-the-go!
