The project demonstrates ABA’s ability to insert a fully contemporary architectural language within an historic setting to enhance this context and transform the quality of life for its users. The extension was conceived as a series of large apertures framed and connected by large trapezoidal planes. These openings capture light throughout the day, draw the garden into the house, and frame precise views of a spectacular walnut tree. Text and images via Alison Brooks Architects (via archatlas)
