But for years egg yolks have been portrayed as "evil" in the food-fitness industry. Let's set the story straight and tell you the truth: Whole eggs contain nearly almost every essential vitamin and mineral our bodies need to function. It is one of the few foods that is a natural source of vitamin D containing 7g of high quality protein, packed with omega-3 fatty acids and provides us with many of the B vitamins, folate, riboflavin, and choline believed to PREVENT heart disease. SO WHAT ABOUT THE DIETARY CHOLESTEROL? Years ago it was found that high blood cholesterol was associated with heart disease therefore foods high in dietary cholesterol were thought to be the evil foods. But today scientists have found that The real threat to high cholesterol is saturated and trans fats, not dietary cholesterol. HOW MANY YOLKS CAN I EAT?
