Photo @ladzinski - Sunrise view from #DeadHorsePoint State Park near Moab, Utah. This scenic vista was historically used as a natural corral for live stock due to the shear cliffs on all sides of the peninsula in the sky with a limited exit. As legend has it, a group of cowboys corralled a heard of wild horses here in the 19th century and failed to return to collect the animals leaving them to die of thirst within view of the Colorado river some 2,000 feet below. A harsh story in a strikingly beautiful landscape of the American west. @3stringsproductions @natgeocreative

Both trips involve extensive route finding. Visitors are encouraged to do the trip with an experienced hiker of The Subway or obtain a detailed route description. The Subway is a day-use area only. Photo @ladzinski / An erie and rarely seen fog moves gracefully through the #FisherTowers in Southern Utah in the early morning light. These dramatically shaped and mud caked towers are icons in the Utah desert and have been used as the backdrop for numerous western films and commercials. It's a destination for adventures and photographers of all walks, and for all the obvious reasons, they're remarkably stunning. @natgeocreative @andy_mann @jthesenga @3stringsproductions
